LearningTown Café Conversations at Learning 2008

To enhance the informal learning aspects of the event, we are building a space called LearningTown Café. Dozens of focused, small conversations will take place with 10 or 15 people gathered around a table to Discuss a Learning Issue, Share a Learning Story or Seek Support on a Learning Challenge. These conversations will all be non-commercial! Examples include:

•    Discussion: How long should the ideal e-Learning module be and under what circumstances?
•   Small Story: How I changed the tone and focus of our high-potential leadership program.
•   Learning Challenge: Any advice on how to retool and redeploy our learning professionals as we prepare to reduce the size of our internal training/learning function?

Café Conversation Content, Design and Logistics:

•    These are 1-hour, informal conversations suggested and led by registered Learning 2008 attendees.
•    There will be a mix of topics ranging from the lighter side of learning to recently-read books.
•    All content must be non-sales/non-promotional.
•    No media, computers or displays - just storytelling, conversations and questions!
•    Most will be scheduled spontaneously on site.
•    All will be numbered and matched to a table with a corresponding number.
